It all started when…

I landed my first promotion. I was young and had the confidence that comes with the ignorance of youth. I had worked with the team for a while and felt I knew and liked them. I learned that the peer to manager relationship can be a tricky one to navigate and that as a leader, I had the potential for tremendous influence on my staff-mostly by example.

I figured it out and once got the greatest compliment any manager can receive. I saw one of my former employees had been promoted to a regional manager position. Upon congratulating him, he replied “I try to manage the way you did.”

Grateful to have left an impression that lasted, I know the work it took me to get there. I want to help you get there, too. Don’t fret, I do not have a desire to create clones of myself in you. Rather, I want to help you develop your style and find the confidence that you are the best new manager you can be!
